My name is Andrew Omano Owino, I am the founder and CEO of Red Hill Education Centre.    We have a Board of Directors, and some Guardians appointed by the Department of Child Welfare.

When i was in school I studied Journalism and communication and pictured a very different future for myself.   One day while out shooting videos I came across an old man who had a low cost school for vulnerable children.  I felt pulled to help and worked part time while in school, helping  do programs for kids who couldn't afford school.   I moved on but couldn't forget the kids and the need in the community.  When the old man passed away, I  kept having dreams that I was meant to continue his work with the kids.  So with God's direction I opened RedHill.   I started with just a few kids, one especially bright child I reached out in the community and  obtained sponsorship for him to go to Nairobi University and he has become a Medical Doctor.    Many  of our kids move on to secondary and higher levels of education.  We try to give them a good foundation to grow on.

Our centre has many achievements other than providing education, and other basic needs, talents are being nurtured.   Our resources are limited and we wish to be able to help all our children obtain secondary school.   We help prepare our kids for National exams to gain entrance to High school or access to Vocational/Trade education.
